Sydney -> Launceston
Highlight
- Our holiday got off to its usual start, with Slokky being late in meeting me as we were going to the airport.
- There were tons of people at the airport. You couldn't even find a place to sit in the food court.
- The plane was late. There were heaps of rude people on board, who all decide to stand in the aisle and not let anyone else through.
- We travelled with lots of old people and babies (which will become the constant recurrence on this trip, but we didn't know it yet).
- After we landed late, we had to get off the plane in the pouring rain at Launceston Airport. Yes it was primitive and they don't actually have connection corridor.
- We had to wait ages for our luggage. They don't have luggage belts and all the luggage gets driven in on a cart. It's the same at Hobart Airport too.
- Luckily the rain eased when we drove into Launceston. Our hotel, the North Lodge Apartments actually forgot me, so we ended up staying in the "penthouse". For more on this story read my review.
