Day 4 27/4/11 - Italy

Acquidolci -> Castelbuono -> Cefalu -> Capri Leone -> Acquidolci

Highlight

• Another rainy start, canned our plan for Etna and headed to Castel Buono, passing the ceramic town on the way.
• No one at the restaurant Palazzi. We got them to bring a bunch of specialties from the region. Everything was very tasty.
• Visited the Castello – half of it was not open or unfinished. The opened bit was ok, probably not worth the money.
• Spent the rest of the time wondering Cefalu – cars were allowed on the main street, so wasn’t great to walk around. Also, weather not so hot.
• Visited the beach, duomo and main square, which were all nice enough but not that interesting
• Picked up some more pastries (much better than Taoromina ones)
• Dinner at Antica Filanda - very good location. They have iMenu on the iPad. The food was very good also. Traditional Nebrodi mountain stuff. Slokky ate a lot.
• More pastries at home and we called it a day.

  • black pig cutlet stuffed with mushroom
  • papadelle with black pig ragu
  • ravioli with pistachio cream and mushroom
